Here's the information we have on the name "Aoife."

Although "Aoife" was later equated with "Eva", it is completely unrelated in origin. The Old Irish form "Aífe" (1) would be perfectly fine for your period. (The "í" represents an "i" with an accent.)

The appropriate form of a name meaning "daughter of Fionbarr" for Old Irish would be "ingen Fhindbairr" This name is pronounced "IN-ghen IN-verr," since "Fh" is silent and "d" in the "nd" combination is also silent.
