Greetings,

Here's the information we found on the name "Michaela."

We found a reference to the name "Michaela" from 14th-century France. (1) However, it appears that the most common feminine form of "Michael" in French was "Michelle." It's possible that "Michaela" was also used in Germany, but we have no good sources for German women's names, so we can't say whether or not it was used.

We hope this has been helpful. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

Arval D'Espas Nord, Elsbeth Anne Ross, Zenobia Naphtali, and Tangwystl verch Morgant Glasvryn contributed to this letter.
