Greetings,

Here is the information we found on the name "Calandra."

As far as we can tell, this name hasn't been used in period at all, even in Greek. Apparently it comes from a Greek word for "lark," but it wasn't used as a given name. The Greek word was borrowed into Latin, and from Latin it was used as the basis for a French surname "Calandre." If you used a French given name with Calandre, you would have a reasonable late-period French name.

The closest name we found which was used in period was "Cassandra." We could do more research on that name if you like.

Arval D'Espas Nord, Pedro de Alcazar, Effric neyn Kenyeoch vc Ralte, and Talan Gwynek contributed to this letter.

We hope this has been helpful, and that we can continue to assist you.

In service,
Alan Fairfax
