Greetings from the Academy of Saint Gabriel!

You asked about the feminine given name <Taletta>. You told us that the
name is Norwegian, and is traditional in your family.

The name <Taletta> is a diminutive of the feminine Norwegian given name
<Tale>. The name <Tale> has been found as early as circa 1540.
However, <Taletta> does not appear until the middle of the 1700s. Thus,
<Tale> would be appropriate for a sixteenth-century woman living in
Norway, but <Taletta> would not. [1]

I was assisted in researching and writing this letter by Talan Gwynek,
Arval Benicoeur, Aryanhwy merch Catmael, Alasone nin Laran, and Sabine
Berard.

For the Academy,
Ursula Georges.
