Greetings,

Here's the information we found on your proposed Jewish name "Aharona bat Abrahim Toledana."

We can't say whether "Aharona" is a period Jewish name. We found a period example of "Davida," which is an analagous name, but it's impossible to be sure if other names were feminized in this way. You could use this, but if you want to be sure of having a period name we would recommend using a more standard Hebrew woman's name--the Hebrew Bible is a good source for Hebrew names.

The rest of your name needs only a little modification. The common transliteration of of "Abraham" is "Avraham." "Toledana" is the feminine form of the name "Toledano," which was used by Jews during your period. The only catch is that "Toledano" should modify your father's name, not yours--in other words, your name is

daughter of (Abraham from Toledo)
and not (daughter of Abraham) (from Toledo)

As a result, your byname should be "bat Avraham Toledano."

Jaelle of Armida, Talan Gwynek, and Pedro de Alcazar contributed to this letter.
