Academy of Saint Gabriel Report 462

This report is available at http://www.s-gabriel.org/462

Some of the Academy's early reports contain errors that we haven't yet corrected. Please use it with caution.

Greetings,

Here's the information we found on your arms, which could be blazoned "a ram's head and a wolf's head conjoined at the neck."

Unfortunately, we don't have any examples of a design like this from period heraldry. We have found examples of animals with two bodies and one head, and two-headed creatures, but we haven't found any examples of two heads joined together. Upside-down charges are also very rare--we have only found one example in tens of thousands medieval coats of arms.

If you could tell us why you chose this symbol, we could make some specific suggestions. We hope we can be of more assistance.

In service,
Alan Fairfax
