Greetings,

Here's the information we have on your arms, which are blazoned "Argent, a sunburst vert."

"Argent, a sunburst vert" is clear of conflict and consistent with medieval style.

In heraldry, a "sunburst" is a cloud with rays coming from behind it. A "sunburst vert" (green sunburst) would be unusual, but not impossible.

It occured to us that you might be looking for a heraldic sun--a circle with alternating straight and wavy rays coming out of it. The arms, "Argent, a sun vert" conflict with a number of arms registered in the SCA. However, we can suggest several designs which could be clear of conflict.

We checked all these designs for conflict with registered SCA armory and found none.

Rouland Carre, Arval Benicoeur, Elspeth Anne Roth, Talan Gwynek, Herveus d'Ormonde, Zenobia Naphtali, and Tangwystl verch Morgant Glasvryn contributed to this letter.

We hope this has been helpful, and that we can continue to assist you.

In service,
Alan Fairfax
