You asked about "Miramah" as a Turkish name and how to use it with a byname meaning "daughter of." Our information on Turkish naming practices is pretty slim, but here's what we were able to find. Your chosen given name, "Mirimah," is a plausible Turkish form of the name, which is sometimes found as "Maryam." [1] The construction of your byname would depend on your social position. Concubines were generally given names after a flower or a bird, the equivalent of "Bunny" today, and would probably not include a patronymic (a byname indicating your father's name). For a woman of a higher status, the patronymic could be formed according to the borrowed Arabic form. The Arabic form is "bint" (meaning "daughter of") inserted between your given name and the name of your father; for example, "Miramah bint Ilyas" or "Maryam bint Bayram." [2] Although we have some examples of uniquely Turkish naming practices, they are all men's names and are related to personal descriptions of martial attributes; we do not know how these naming practices would relate, if at all, to women. [1] For more information, we have attached a list of books we found on Turkish naming practices which we have not had access to or an opportunity to review, which may provide additional information.
