In the early 80's Richard Stallman saw that we would have to fight for our right to fully control our own computers and that software is key to that fight. Learn about the Free Software Movement that he started, how the Movement made the Internet, and what battles we must fight and win to keep our computers, and to keep the Net free.
Today, the United States government is secretly pushing hard for passage of the WIPO Broadcast Treaty. This treaty would outlaw private ownership of computers and give control of the Net to the Englobulators:
