appeared for the Club's endorsement of his campaign for re-election to
represent the 11th congressional district of Brooklyn.
Owens' record in the House as ranking member of the Education
sub-committee has been exemplary. His expertise on inner-city education
issues was rarely questioned, and in particular, his knowledge of local
Brooklyn educational issues is exceptional, Brooklyn is fortunate to
