Comments: Now normally...

I've heard such mixed responses to D3. I haven't picked it up yet. I want to though; I think it's more of a factor of free time than desire (or curiosity) -- the whole transition from freelance to full time is kicking my ass due to the lingering freelance clients.

Not to mention my new passion:

Good to have a response. I'm still digging Doom, but maybe this is because I only play it in hour long segments. Little snippets of gaming here and there when I can grab the time rather than 7 hours straight mindless blasting. I continue to believe the atmosphere is very involving though, and the audio is spot-on. The evil laughs make me wet my pants from time to time.

I have found Doom to be a good, but not great, game. I, too, am only playing it in brief stints so my progress isn't that fast. I also have a great machine that chunks in certain spots. I look more forward to the games created on this engine than this game itself.

I am also even more excited for HL2 knowing that a lot more comes in that box as compared to Doom3 which at this point counts on the modding community to do something interesting as opposed to the developers themselves.

Thanks for re-adding the music/mood stuff! :)
