ISU offers this Symposium to the users and providers of space-related systems as an opportunity for open discussion and debate on these and other challenging questions. As an international institution, independent of specific national or commercial interests, ISU is well placed to serve as a neutral forum for the free and creative exchange of ideas in an academic setting. Selected themes from the Symposium will be pursued further within the ISU Master of Space Studies (MSS) program. The MSS students - a body of highly motivated young professionals and postgraduate students - will work on a Team Design Project to create innovative but realistic proposals. Symposium participants are welcome to take part in workshop activities that will follow the Symposium.
