I ran across a nice technique to "soften" photos, so I broke out Adobe Photoshop Elements and tried it on Uncle and Truly. This is the result. Look any different? I'll try it on a different photo later. I've got some nice ones of Cor. |

A Canon PowerShot S400 took this picture. These digital cameras are amazing. I can store over 200 high-resolution photos on a 256MB CompactFlash card. And the instant feedback is better than Polaroids. I've avoided the digital photography revolution for too long. |

Is it time to get a digital camera? There are events coming up where it would be nice to have one. I'm leaning towards the Canon PowerShot S400, because of its combination of image quality and portability.

I need to get one of these.
Perfect Tool: C-Clamp Mini Tripod. If you carry a camera around you should hide one of these at the bottom of your bag; there's always one in my briefcase. It will turn a lot of basic shots from impossible to easy.... [ongoing]
