Fahnestock State Park
X-country Ski Weekend, Carmel NY
Depending on snow conditions, we'll either hike, snow shoe, or x-country ski at Fahnestock in the Hudson Highlands. The park is close to N.Y. City, so you can join us for a day or stay overnight with us in a nearby motel. Fahnestock grooms its trails and rents skis. Many of the trails are suitable for beginners, and lessons can be purchased. NO CALLS BEFORE JANUARY 2.

Enjoy all winter sports and stay in a comfortable motel in Adirondack Park. Nearby Lake Placid has indoor and outdoor ice-skating rinks; go to Mt. Van Hovenberg and Cascade for x-country skiing; Whiteface Mountain for downhill skiing. All equipment can be rented and you can purchase lessons.
