Dingman's Campground, Dingman's Ferry, PA
A good place to relax along the Delaware River. This campground is a concession on National Park Service land in the Delaware National Recreation Area. You can swim, boat, fish, or tube. Canoe and raft rentals are available nearby.
Hickory Run State Park, White Haven, PA
The park contains forests, lakes, streams, 30 miles of hiking trails. It borders the Lehigh River, popular with canoeists and rafters. The park's most unusual feature is Boulder Field, a large area of boulders deposited by receding glaciers, 20,000 years ago. There are both family and group camping sites.
Pocono Environmental Education Center, Dingman's Ferry, PA
An environmental retreat in a former honeymoon resort in the Poconos. Hiking, stream study, nature photography, cross-country skiing and more. Cabins.
Promised Land State Park, Canadensis, PA
Promised Land Lake is the center of attention. You can swim, boat, fish or just relax by its shores. A self-guided nature trail goes around Conservation Island. Less well known is the Bruce Lake Natural Area, which you can hike into but is otherwise undeveloped.

One of the largest, and best-run, nudist resorts in the northeast. Swimming, hiking. ping-pong, tennis, volleyball, nightclub.
Tobyhanna State Park, Tobyhanna, PA
A park with family campgrounds, group sites, hiking trails and a lake in the Poconos.
Tohickon Valley Park, Point Pleasant, PA
A Bucks County park with a creek running through it. It has family campsites, group campsites and cabins. Tyler State Park, Newtown, PA
A large park near Philadelphia that's good for hiking, biking and horseback riding. You can't camp here, but you can stay at a youth hostel.
