This is Downtown Sydney shortly after sunset.

The Opera House sits on a large plaza which is used for public performances or entertainment. During the Rugby World Cup games were broadcast on large screen TVs. There were other locations throughout the city where they did this. The games were all on broadcast TV but it was a great atmosphere to get out and watch with a few hundred people. You can see the mezzanine level cafes and bars that run under the Opera House and along the waterfront.

The view from the Botanic Gardens looking West toward the Opera House and bridge. What you can see is only a small portion of the very large harbor in Sydney.
