Barbecues

Thanks to our neighbors, Martyn and Gaelle, we have had the opportunity to do some portable barbecuing. Think “extreme ironing” minus the ironing and plus beer and food. We did one beach barbecue and one breakfast barbecue.

Who’s Drinkin’ a Beer?

Thanks to email from Martyn today I was reminded that the beer garden we went to was the Lowenbrau beerery and not the Heineken one, but since I’m not getting much in the way of beer these days perhaps I can be forgiven for not remembering the brand of beer.

The evening started at the Belgian Beer Café and moved on to the above-mentioned Lowenbrau Beer Garden. In the Lowenbrau Beer Garden there were German-Australians in an Oompah Band who called people up from the audience to have them speed-drink small beers or dance polkas. We made sure not to be selected.
