You can see how the day was just a beautiful day but this doesn’t capture the beauty of the scene behind John. The heat from the ground prevents plants from growing, so the minerals gather on the surface, making a lunarscape of the area. There are pools of water that get a beautiful, soft blue from the sky and they steam gently even though the day is quite warm--gives you a sense of how hot the water is! Very close to boiling!
