After Christmas

Margaret and I enjoyed the fresh air on Manly Beach on the Sunday after our return from a much colder New Jersey. Manly was cool for January, notice we are wearing long sleeves. Also on the beach were competitions between the Surf Life Saving Clubs of Manly, Queenscliff, Bondi, North Bondi, Collaroy, and other towns on the coast in Sydney. Each club has a group of people, mostly older people, who marched in what I can only describe as a color guard while a bag-piping marching band played. Dig the retro life-saving equipment and the retro bathing suits!
