Color Select Aid
Effective text colors vary with background. Putting a selection of
colors on a background helps select compatible colors.

The set of 140 named colors has two duplicates:
Aqua = Cyan = #00FFFF
Fuchsia = Magenta = #FF00FF
Following are the 140 named colors, which means that they can be
defined by their names within <font> & <body> tags
instead of needing hex equivalents.
Text colors are an obvious way to use this page.
It is more subtle to note that background files take time to load. Thus,
one could select a background color for the <body> tag that is
compatible with the background file. This is gentler on the user's nerves.
With this background, one notes that Burlywood, between Brown and
Cadetblue, is nearly invisible, so it is a good choice for the background
color.
The best way to use this page is copy it to your place, and then put in
your own background file or solid color. You'll soon notice the colors
that get along with your background.

Quite a bit can be done using the 140 named colors. At other times,
knowing the hex equivalent is useful.
Colorsnam.txt is a list of these colors and
their hex values sorted by color names. Similarly,
Colorshex.txt contains the same information
sorted on hex values.
