The date in the upper left corner is in a <Div> tag. This item
has no effect on alignment of objects coming later on this page.
Table 1 above is centered, as called for in a <Div> tag.
There is no HTML code to set the location of table 2, so one expects it to
be left-justified by default. MSIE 6 maintains the positioning defined in
the <Div> tag of Table 1. Netscape 7.x correctly shows Table 2 on
the left.
Text here looks normal, being aligned to the left by another <Div>
tag. The text at the bottom of the page, just after the reddish line, is
also in a <Div> tag with align set to left.
Table 3 follows the pattern of table 2 in both MSIE(centered) and Netscape
(left justified).
To be fair, some things better handled by MSIE than Netscape.
Here's a subtle example of MSIE doing something better. Tables One and Two
are similar. Table One's top and left border color (bordercolorlight) is
maroon. Its lower and right border (bordercolordark) is fuchsia.
Table Two has the same border colors, but reversed. That occurs in MSIE,
but not Netscape.
Some details here are that fuchsia=magenta in the set of 140 named colors,
and borders are normally set to appear as though the lighting comes from the
upper left.
