The Robotics SIG( Special Interest Group) was created by CPCUG in July
2004 and is hosted by both Anthrotronics & CUA.

The three main goals of the Robotics SIG are:
To learn what is current in this exciting field.
To learn how to build and program robots.
Learning more about robots & entering robotics competitions will
raise student motivation to get into math and science. They'll
gain insight into technical choices in college and careers.

The VEX robotics kit is a leading platforms for youth
competitions and for prototyping
11:30AM Planning Meeting: Potomac Robotics League.
Bring your own brown bag lunch; drinks provided.
Location is downtown Silver Spring, near the Red Line Metro.
Complete Directions. Both Metro and driving are covered.
Event time is 3-8:30 PM. beginning with student arrival and set up.
Any form of volunteering will help.
To help with judging, arrive by 5:15 to get instructions.
Competitions start shortly after 6 PM.

For ages 6-9.
Thurs, 8/9, 6:30 PM, Planning First tech Challenge( was First Vex
Challenge), for middle school students.
Thurs, 8/23, 6:30 PM, Recruiting mentors and obtaining funding
for FIRST Robotics, a high school level project.
