The NI LabVIEW 8.6.1 for FRC 2011 and FRC 2011 Tools & CompactRIO Drivers DVD includes the LabVIEW software you can use to program a robot in LabVIEW as well as FRC-specific tools that all teams must install. Before you get started, read this file for important information about the software and help resources.

Note  After the official FRC kickoff, all teams must visit the FIRST Web site at usfirst.org/frccontrolsystem to download mandatory software updates.

System Requirements

To install LabVIEW 8.6.1 for FRC 2011 and the FRC 2011 tools & CompactRIO drivers, the host computer must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Windows Vista/XP
• 2.8 GB of disk space

To install only the FRC 2011 tools & CompactRIO drivers, the host computer must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Windows Vista/XP
• 1.12 GB of disk space
