March 4, 1997

I visited Cynosure, a well-known title house here in NYC, and made a deal with them. My titles are as simple as can be, just a few white-on-black cards, so the job is fairly inexpensive. (I was scattered enough to name a higher price than was quoted to me on the telephone, but the title guy was an honest fellow and corrected me downward. Another shrewd business deal.)

My negative cutter told me today that he is going on vacation for three weeks, which was the first I'd heard about it. Fortunately, I have no deadlines at the moment.... His assistants will be on the job while he is gone, so work won't grind to a halt altogether.
