This was taken after both Towers fell. The smoke smoldered for hours afterward, probably even as I write this at 10:30 pm that evening. I could see the smoke from my corner at Third Avenue and 73rd St. A friend of mine who lives in Park Slope in Brooklyn said that the smell in the air was terrible. Apparently, a lot of debris landed in Brooklyn as well.
