EconoCon is a small but fun gaming convention in Plymouth, NH, my
home town. It's small - we always hope to get 100 people - but
everyone that goes has a good time. It's a very good mix of board, card,
and role-playing games, without being dominated by any one type of game.
The environment, a small college in a small northern New England town,
makes for a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with good feelings all around.
That's why I live here, in fact.
It's cheap, too. Since the convention is run by the student gaming
club, they get to use the college Union Building for free. I'm
not sure of the current price schedule, but it's hard to have a
better time for two full days for less money than that.
I'll be there, God willing. I'll be running boardgaming Saturday,
at least. Lots of great European and American board and card games
- come join in!
