A limited edition promo CD (ARPCD-3829) entitled Gung Ho Giveaway is being distributed gratis with the purchase of Patti Smith's Gung Ho disc from a select group of merchants organized as the Coalition of Independent Music Stores. Newbury Comics is also involved in the promotion, and both organizations have their logos in the artwork. The disc is available strictly as a tie-in with Gung Ho and is not supposed to be available separately.

allotment isn't exhausted.
It includes four live songs. The first three (Gone Again, Beneath the Southern Cross, and Spell) are taken from the "WXRT show", played in Chicago on Nov. 22 1998, and broadcast on that radio station. (Note that Spell was not a part of that radio broadcast.) The final song (People Have the Power) is taken from the band's appearance at the 1997 Tibetan Freedom Concert in New York City.
