BEDROOM SUITE

This bed that's big enough for two and more
Thinks we should populate the empty space.
It seems to have some idea what it's for.

My single bed seemed big enough before,
But now we see (etc.) face to face
In this bed big enough for two. And more

Or less often, when our two bodies, sore
And tired, go sprawling after a day's haste,
They seem to have some idea what it's for.

Accompanied by passion's cry, or snore,
Our love that fills this fine and private place,
This bed, is big enough for two and more.

For now, though, we're just two, not three or four,
And need not guard our privacy in case
They have a different idea what it's for.

So on we play and sleep, and set our store
(For now) by joys that new joys might erase.
This bed is big enough for two and more.
It seems two have some idea what it's for.
