Machine Intelligence Institute

Mission

The MII was established at Iona College in 1985. The purpose of the Machine Intelligence Institute is to help bring to fruition the promise of the current generation of computer based technologies for the development of intelligent knowledge based systems.

Activities

Among the activities supported by the MII:

• State of the art research and development
• Cooperative projects with industrial, nonprofit and governmental partners for the development, transfer and application of the latest technologies
• Joint research with other academic and research institutes
• Provide facilities for visitors to work on collaborative projects
• Organize conferences, workshops, short courses, tutorials and seminars
• Dissemination of information via MII Technical Report Series and the International Journal of Intelligent Systems
