New Design for Mainpage (again) 9-6-99 Alexander Lee
Once again, I have tweeked the main page layout. Still plain text mainly, but I
should be getting some graphics on sometime soon. I'm working with Blender on my
new-to-me SGI Indigo (which I have just upgraded to a R4400 15Mhz Elan). Once I get
the hang of it, I'll whip up a nice logo that I've been designing on paper. I'm also
going to rewrite the other pages with the new design once I get some of the graphics in
and the layout set.
Mainpage Updated 20-11-98 Alexander Lee
The main index page has been updated with a slightly new look. Hopefully it is
more readable than the old page, while still being aesthetically pleasing. I really
don't like white text on a black background, I feel that it causes too much eyestrain, but
a white background with black text isn't that much better. The gray text on a black
background was just unreadable with some browsers. Hopefully I'll find some happy
medium sometime.
I've temporarily linked to other sites for the Audio/Video, Shiba Inu, and
Transportation sections until I can get some original content up. The links will
remain available after that time, but in a separate links section.
I've secured a large amount of file server space, and hopefully will soon be able to
serve some MP3's, and RealMedia audio and video. I have a couple hundred megs of Joy
Division, New Order, Electronic MP3's. For RealMedia files, I have Troops, South
Park's first un-released episode, and the Star Wars Phantom Menace trailer. Until I
get the OK to mirror, I'll just point you towards their official sites. I do not
plan to publish any currently released content without permission from the copyright
holders. Besides, if it's readily available, why waste bandwidth and storage space?
If anyone has out of print or unreleased material that they want to share, drop me
a line.
On a side note, I'm now a CCNA (yay for me). Unfortunately I failed the ACRC test
by a paltry 3 questions. I'll study up some and probably re-take the test
mid-December after I take the CLSC and CCDA test.
Updated Photographica Pages 9-10-98 Alexander Lee
I've updated my Carl Zeiss lens design page to reflect some new information I picked
up. I've also added some info to my photo kit page, and am working on product
profiles for all the items listed. I'm also going to include a page on my camera
collection page, which comprises of photographic equipment firsts, such as the first SLR,
the first TLR, first fully electronically controlled camera, first Japanese SLR,
etc. I'm also going to slightly modify the layout and appearance of my page.
I haven't had as much time to work on my page as I hoped for, as I am busy at work, and am
also studying towards getting my Cisco Certified Network Professional certification early
next year.
Updated the Neo Tokyo Pages 18-6-98 Alexander Lee
Well, it's been a while, but I've added some comments on some Restaurants in the Neo
Tokyo pages. Just the other day, I was making fun of a "sported up" Honda
Civic which I was making fun on with my girlfriend, and today, I stumbled across Brian's Rice Boy Pages, which I find hilarious. I
though that I'd start a similar page for the NYC area, mainly focusing on the NYU Rice Boy
scene, but also throwing in some of that Chito (local corruption of Chinese Guido) loving
from Long Island. It will take a little while to gather some juicy dirt, and take
pictures.
Website is under construction 24-4-98 Alexander Lee
I have finally started to build my personal website. Even though I have been
building web pages for others for a while, I never got around to making one for
myself. Please come back soon when I have more things posted.
