Bars

St. Dymphna's 9-5-98 Alexander Lee

St. Dymphna's on 8th street between 1st and Ave A is another Irish pub with decent food.  They are big on the Irish theme, with magazine covers of famous Irish citizens poasted behind the bar.  A decent amount of ex-pats go there and it is usually full of Caucasians, almost no minorities.  It's a nice place to hang for a while, because you can eat while you drink.  The down side, it's a little yuppie next to Thompkin's square park, a product of the whole gentrification of Avenue A and alphabet city.
