Scratchers is one of my favorite bars.  During the early evening, their kitchen serves food, though I have never had any.  At night, serves only beer, wine, tea and potato crisps.  When their kitchen is closed they don't mind at all if you bring some food in from outside.    It is very big on the Irish pub atmosphere, and over the course of a Friday, you can see a lot of Irish and Brit tourist's and ex-pats slumming.  Frequently, my friends and I are the only non-caucasian clientel.  Still, the crowd is young, and atmosphere is not too pretentious.  They pull Guiness the right way also.
