Cloister Cafe 11-5-98 Alexander Lee

Cloister Cafe has mediocre food, and their hours are erratic.  It seems whenever I want to go there, the owners are on vacation.  They have a real nice back yard with a running fountain and ivy on the walls.  Combined with the stained glass windows inside, and the gargoyles and potted plants, they go a good way of invoking a Cloister atmasphere.   Their sweets are good.  What makes them unique and makes me want to go back again and again and again, are their bowls of hot chocolate and coffee.  They make great hot chocolate, and with a bowl serving, it really hits the spot during the spring and fall (unfortuantely, prime vacation seasons.)
