East is a chain restraunt. They have restraunts all over Manhatten. What is particularly notable about them is that they have really inexpensive happy hours during the weekdays. Otherwise, their food is mediocre, and price inexpensive. I allways end up buying more than I anticipated though, and the end meal adds up to more than I believe that is worth spending there. The restraunt on Barrow Street, just south of 4th is decorated with clean modern Zen "minimalist" lines, though they have scores of fishing rods slanted from the walls to a center beam.
