Joy of Parenting

Occasionally in the midst of all the worrying, teaching, loving and letting go our our children, you get a glimmer that it's all worth it.

Tonight my ever so independent - on her own - daughter Lisa called me from Missouri. (Collect of course) We don't talk often since communication is dependent on her calling me. But tonight she called. We chit chat about Grandma, her sisters, what's happening in her life, ect. followed by a bit of a heart to heart talk. Finally she says, I was just feeling a little down tonight and I thought calling you would make me feel better. I replied, I hope that it did. Very softly she replied, Each and every time Mom. Yes I cried.
