Gus and Tilly wake from a nap

and walk over for some corn

They'd make the same trek 4 or 5 times a day

march right up to the back porch

and let us know they're here

We'd have to take the dish out each time

Then bring it back in afterwards to avoid attracting any more grackles and starlings

Gus would have some corn now and then but Tilly craved it

Sometimes they waited patiently.

Well, they waited.

A bluejay sees a possible home

But it's taken

very taken

The robins and bluebirds are neighbors like two families sitting on their stoops

The robin nest had four eggs

but it seems like only two young

speaking of young, it's always something new.
