Claire Sent These Photos 

      We hiked up to the fortress visible in the first picture I
      sent.  Narikala Fortress was first built in the 4th century
      and destroyed by an earthquake in the 1800's. It was totally
      empty since we were there so early. As we left locals started
      arriving at the church inside the fortress walls to go to
      service. I didn't get any close ups of the church since I
      was looking at the view but it's in the pictures I sent
      earlier.

      We got a platter with some different dips (eggplant and
      tomato, pumpkin and goat cheese, and bean with pickled
      "jonjoli" (flowers) and some Georgian dumplings called
      khinkali. Delicious!
