On my first night in Wilmington I went to a restaurant that overlooks the river. I didn't take
my camera. For a while it looked like I wouldn't be missing anything. I sent the first photo in
this slideshow to my daughter, saying "Looks like not much of a sunset..."
Then, about fifteen minutes later, the show started for real. I took a bunch of pix with my phone.
Between watching the spectacle and enjoying the delicious plate of shrimp and grits I didn't worry
too much about the technical aspects of taking the photos, and I'm presenting them just the way I
took them.
The thing is, it's not just that it was a good sunset. It went on forever, changing by the minute.
Well, not forever but through dessert. There's about fifty minutes between the first photo in the
slideshow and the last.
I took my camera to dinner the next two nights, and of course the sunsets were nowhere near
as exhilarating.
PS I know the music in all my slideshows is the same. It kind of grows on you, plus
I haven't taken time to learn how to select anything else.
