Servings: 3 to 4 cups
These little peppers have lots of flavor with a medium heat — Cheap and quick way of making a salsa that is restaurant quality that will appeal to most everyone! You can find these dried peppers in the ethnic section of your market, usually hanging in a clear bag. all walmarts carry them!
5 arbol chiles
1 small onion
2 tablespoons granulated garlic
15 ounce can diced tomatoes
2 cups of chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon oil
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Add the chiles and onion to a food processor and chop finely. Add to your other ingredients, blend, and chill for at least an hour.
This is a great dip with chips — and an excellent addition to foil packs of fish or chicken cooked in the oven or grill !
