- AlarmClock 2.0
AlarmClock 2.0 goes far beyond the functionality of the built-in clock feature of the Newton OS 2.0 by adding a significantly louder and more annoying alarm sound. Full screen stop and snooze buttons makes it easy to use AlarmClock 2.0. In addition, users can programmatically stop or snooze AlarmClock using the Newton's power switch. Users can configure the snooze to any delay; also, AlarmClock will automatically turn itself off after a user preset time, thus saving valuable battery life.
- Alarmed and Dangerous
A set of enhancements to the Alarm features of the Newton, desgined to make them more usable and noticable.
This extension add functionality to illuminate a Newton MP130 screen when the clock's alarm goes off. Upon tapping the clock the alarm stops and the backlighting turns off.
AlarmPak captures the Reminder messages from the Dates application and handles these message much better than the Newton does. AlarmPak lets you set the volume, beep, and frequency of alarms. AlarmPak also remembers an unlimited number of reminder messages, so you don't have to. AlarmPak 2.0 (for Newton OS 2.0) include SoundPak! SoundPak add additional sounds to AlarmPak. SoundPak use very little heap memory (about 550 bytes). SoundPk is automatically install in a folder called Extensions int he extras drawer. When installed, additional sounds are available in AlarmPak's prefs.
A small freeWare app for someone who is having a baby -- This package will time and record the start/stop times for contractions, and will calculate the duration and frequency of the contractions.
- Calendar Marker 3.00
Do you ever wish you could tell when you have meetings and anniversaries (day notes), just by glancing at the small calendar displayed in the upper right corner of the Dates display? You know, just like those $50 pocket organizers that put boxes around anniversary dates, and little marks at the top or bottom of a day with a meeting in the morning or afternoon? -- Calendar Marker does just that!
DateMan offers the ability to quickly look at all your upcoming events, either by tapping on the button in the NotePad, Names file, or Calendar, or by automatically popping up after a desired sleep interval. In addition, you can easily link any two items together, for examply, a checklist note to a meeting, or several name cards to a particular event. This linking is fully dynamic, and can be modified at any time.
DateReminder provides a way to keep track of birthdays without needing to enter a name card for each person you want to remember a birthday for. (Available in English and German versions.)
- Daylight Savings
Change the settings for the various daylight saving times in the Newton.
- EuroDSTPatch 2.0
Until last year, european dalight saving time (dst) stopped on the last sunday in September. This year this was changed, it now stops on the last sunday in October. This little program patches the dst stop month accordingly. Launch EuroDSTPatch and press the 'Change' button. That's all! You can view the change in the Time Zone application.
- EVA Clock
A small application that displays the time in the middle of the screen in large print. The display appears for 2-3 seconds, then disappears. If you would like the display to disappear sooner, just tap it. The time is also displayed when the Newton is turned on.
- Gaia Calendar
For Internet standard schedule exchange peer to peer or with Internet-compatible desktop software products and corporate data server systems. Runs on Personal Media, Gaia Forms, and standalone as Newton stationery. Fast and easy schedule exchange over wireless or wireline communications with popular environments back in the office, such as Netscape's Calendar Server, Microsoft Schedule+, and Now Up-to-Date.

- Herbo's Newton Freeware: DateSum
Herb Otto has just released DateSum 1.0 -- DateSum (Date Summary) is a days-at-a-glance agenda view for the Newton. It shows all meetings, events and to-do's for the specified upcoming period. While the built-in dates application agenda view is fine for the current day it lacked a robust view of upcoming days (the overview just doesn't cut it). The program is only 24K in size

Every time your Newton restarts you lose approximately 50 seconds off of the Newton clock. Keep Time fixes this problem. Just install Keep Time and it will do all of the work for you!
This extention adds a new print format to the Dates application. It appears as "Month View" in the print slip format picker and will print a wall calendar-like month view, filling in the day cells with events from Dates. (Shareware US$5)

A program that adds new and full moon events to the Dates application for 1998 (and the remainder of 1997).
A time-synchronization application for the Apple. MessagePad Newt'sTime allows a MessagePad to synchronize its internal clock with a standard time reference via a simple phone call.
- Personal Minutes Supervisor
A Newton application that lets you easily track project time, and send the resulting information to your desktop computer at the end of the month. Features include: - "tap to start"/"tap to stop" usage - edit your data on a per-project basis - get summaries on your Newton on a project or month basis - upload your data to your Macintosh or Windows desktop to produce a monthly "timesheet" (Mac & Windows clients included) using your favorite spreadsheet program - supported on both 2.0 and 1.3 Newtons.

- Session Scheduler
This specialized application was written specifically for the MP2000 and is intended as an adjunct to the Dates application. Using popup menus and configurable lists of clients and studio names, a studio musician can enter new recording sessions into the Newton without having to write anything. Use the Week-at-a-glance button to see events for a week at a time; view events by day by clicking on the calendar. This application might not be much use to anyone but studio musicians, but who knows how it could be utilized...
Set24 fixes a little flaw in the system: Having to re-select 24-hour style after resetting. It creates a new locale that is selected automatically during a restart.
- SetClock 2.1
16K BinHex. SetClock is a small program for Newton OS 2.0 that calls one of three time servers, and sets your Newton PDA's clock to a standard time. I suggest filing SetClock in your Setup folder and referencing it as necessary. SetClock uses Newton intelligence to figure out where you are and adjust GMT time to your local time zone. SetClock is simple to use, but provides on-line help if necessary.

A Newton utility that automatically computes and displays the local mean sidereal (astronomical) time based upon the home location that is set in the Time Zones application, and the time from the Newton's internal clock.
- Snoozey 1.01
Gives 5 new snooze times for the Reminders. No longer be limited by 5, 9, 15, and 30 minute snooze settings. Snoozey adds 1 hour, 2 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour, and 24 hour snoozes.

Basic four function stopwatch application.
- SunUpDown 1.3
SunUpDown calculates for a choosen city: the sun rise for a specific day, sun set for a specific day, longest day in a year shortest day in a year. Cities are picked from the Cities soup. On idle time it determines the longest and shortest day in the year.

Time It is an easy to use timer alarm and stopwatch. Tap in a time amount and Time It will alert you when the time elapses.
- Time of Month
A program which allows users to print a month view calendar, complete with drawings, as well as meetings and events from the Newton's built-in calendar.
- Time Stamp
Time Stamp allows you to insert the date and or time into any text field in the Newton. It replaces the standard popup menu of punctuation characters with one that includes two new new icons, one which inserts the date and one which inserts the time. There is a Preference panel added to the "Prefs" application (this can be found in the "Setup" folder in the Extras drawer). This panel will let you choose which date and time format you prefer.

- Timestamp 2.0
This package adds a new action to the action (routing) button on the Notepad called "Timestamp". When you select Timestamp that note is updated to the current date and time. This has the effect of moving it forward in the notepad to the last item in the Notepad paper roll. Tapping undo will put the old timestamp back on the note and the note will return to its previous position in the roll.
Newton application that sums up times from your Newton "Dates" calendar.
Ttime is a small program to give you a small digital clock. It locates itself in the top left corner of the screen and can be dragged to where ever. It updates the time every 60 seconds.
- Wake Up Week
A quick scheduling overview for the Newton. It allows you to quickly access it from a variety of methods, and places a list of all your upcoming events on screen.
