Disused Elevated Railway Stations of the New York Area

Disused or Unused Underground Railway Stations of the New York Area
A complete inventory of existing underground stations in the New York area that are not in use. It includes parts of stations not in use, if they are large areas like whole platforms or levels, but not small areas like individual entrances or passageways (nor faces of platforms).
MetroCard Conditions of Use
The complete and unaltered text of the New York City Transit Authority handout of the same title, theoretically available at all token booths at all MetroCard stations, but in practice, seldom seen.
MetroCard
Contains the text and illustrations of The New York City Transit Authority's handout, available at token booths at MetroCard stations, of the same title. Though unauthorized, Esoteric Resources has attempted to present the text as written, only adding to it in order to be clear when listing specific MetroCard stations in Manhattan.
New York City Subway Resources
Contains a number of features (photo tours, track maps, articles), as well as links to other subway and rail-related sites.
New York City Transit History
New York City's first official subway system began operation on October 27, 1904 in Manhattan. The inaugural ride for public officials and invited guests became even more memorable when an enthusiastic Mayor McClennan insisted on driving the train for several miles. The First sunday the system opened, a million people tried to "do the subway,"-a figure greater than the City's population a century before. Now, 90 years later, daily subway ridership exceeds New York City's 1904 Population.
