Braveheart (Mel Gibson)

Rating: 3.0

A whole lot better than I expected, though not remotely the masterpiece
that some think. The film's highlights are the remarkable (and
remarkably warned) battle sequences; fortunately, these come
at regular intervals, just as dramatic interest begins to wane. Paced
extremely well, especially given its almost-three-hour running time. My
biggest complaint is that the final scene is needlessly ridiculous; I
spent several days following the screening yelling "FREEDOM!!" at the top
of my lungs on the streets of Manhattan.
