The Day the Sun Turned Cold (Yim Ho)

Rating: 2.0

A very simple story that moves at a snail's pace, without any of the
complex human insight or visual extravagance that would justify such
meandering. Similar in structure, now that I think about it, to THE
USUAL SUSPECTS (!), featuring the same minimal level of characterization
as that overrated film, but absent its convoluted narrative and flashy
match-dissolves. I left the theater wondering why anyone thought that I
would have cared. Lethargic on every level.
