Initially this agency was great(my first counselor was Selena). After
she left the "New" batch took over. They have no concept of what
"Temporary" means. If I wanted a permanent job I could have gotten
one, but I chose to be a temp because of the flexibility, while I
pursed my home business. Temping meant I could fill in the blanks.
The minute you say you have to take off any time, whether it is a day,
week or month that is when the attitudes began to creep about. Mind
you know they get well in advance notice in order to replace you for
the time, however that is definitely not enough. Subsequently the
show their attitude by not finding you an assignment an evading you
phone calls. Thank God there are over a "100" Temporary Employment
agencies in Midtown Manhattan alone, or you be at their beck and call.
Be leary of rejected an assignment, that's ground for attitude. Be
leary of any emergency that may arise, that's ground for attitude. Be
leary of any and all appointments, that's ground for attitude which
equals no assignment. I believe that Sloans' could a lot better with
a whole new placement staff and add direct deposit as an added
feature.
