I found the people at Atrium to be very nice and very friendly, but also a bit unprofessional and chaotic. Different reps kept calling me to ask if I was interested in jobs and should they send my resume. I always said yes but then never heard back. The one time I did get an assignment, it was after they sent my resume to a company without my permission, and for a job that was below what I told them my absolute minimum was. When I said I didn't want the job, the rep, who had already told the company I was willing and available, became nasty and said, "I don't know what other job you think you're going to get, unless you want to stuff envelopes for $10 an hour or be a bike messenger." Not exactly a way to sell the vast array of apportunities at your agency.
On the plus side, they do seem to have a fair amount of work and have some interesting clients. I wouldn't necessarily tell people not to use them: I don't think they're terrible, just unprofessional. And don't let them bully you into taking a low rate just because it's more convenient for them. On the challenge database they say their typical admin jobs are $17 and $18/hour, but when I interviewed I was told the average was $15 (even though I have experience, computer skills, etc, etc.)
