Stokoe Tempo Font

Release 0.2

Angus B. Grieve-Smith

StokoeTempo is a variant of TempoFont, a public-domain font by David Rakowski, for the Stokoe notation used in transcribing signed languages, particularly American Sign Language.

Release 0.2 does not support diacritical marks or characters "stacked" one on top of the other. It is restricted to the characters used in the Dictionary of American Sign Language (Stokoe, Casterline and Croneberg, 1965-1976; available from SignMedia), and certain characters used for transcribing other languages are unfortunately unavailable. These improvements will hopefully come with later versions.

For Release 0.2, I have converted StokoeTempo to the Web Open Font Format using FontSquirrel's Webfont Generator, and to Typeface.js format using FaceType.js.

These modifications to TempoFont are copyright 1995 and 2022 Angus B. Grieve-Smith. They may be freely used by individuals and educational institutions; other organizations may make individual arrangements with Angus Grieve-Smith.
