I was surprised and amused to see the character Edina from Absolutely Fabulous lapse into this short monologue about how "we're all just molecules".. you're just a bunch of molecules over there and I'm just a bunch of molecules over here. Reductionism ad absurdum! But follow that line of thought a bit too far, and a humorous Edina turns into Raskolnikov or even Hitler..
