I have been blogging for more than 12 years, and when I posted about the suspicious death of a Canadian cryptocurrency mogul, and subsequent efforts by shorted investors to exhume his body to confirm his death, I missed a most obvious and beautiful pun.
I have always claimed to be the worst writer on the internet, but today especially so, because I was not the one who came up with this:

Yesterday, I posted an article titled, “They’ve Got Tapes. They’ve Always Got Tapes“.
I should have titled it something like, “Rudy Impaled by Vlad Tapes,”*, since it involved an attempt to extort action by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
*Oh for F%$#’s sake, it’s a play on the name of the Romanian Prince Vlad Țepeș, AKA Vlad the Impaler, AKA Vlad Drakul, the source of the Dracula story. Do I have to explain EVERYTHING?
I just had a checkup from the opthamologist, and my pupils are still dilated.
Thankfully, I have this whole touch-typing thing totally dwon.
Some family stuff needs tending to.
In order to prevent impeachment stories and speculation from taking over my blog, I will only be reporting on impeachment progress, and new Trump revelations, on days of the week that end with the letter “Y”.
That is all.
Needless to say, this interferes with my connecting tip the Wi-Fi, son none of my pearls our l of wisdom tonight.

My Mother in Law is in hospital with what I hope is a minor infection, and I have been running around all night as a result.
So I may be blogging drunk, which means that I will likely be even less coherent than usual.
I know what you are asking yourself, “How could he get any LESS coherent?”
However, I promise that even if I drink so much that I cannot tell the difference between Mordecai and Haman, I will be able to tell the difference between Donald Trump and a fence post, with the latter being more honest, more intelligent, and more attractive.
Beer and pretzels, actually and I will be updating regularly.
I’ll start on the beer once I pick up Charlie from his election duties, and it will be beer and pretzels, because ……… What part of beer and pretzels don’t you UNDERSTAND?
While I will not be good to drive, I don’t expect to get truly hammered.
I deferred to my daughter on choice of beer, because she’s the only other one in the house who can drink beer (Sharon* is allergic to malt, and Charlie is under age.), which somewhat unfortunately is Natty Boh (National Bohemian).
The beer is actually a good metaphor for the establishment backed Democratic candidates this evening though, it is generic and uninspiring.
I’ll start live blogging around 7 or so, by which time we should start getting returns from the states with early poll closings.

For future discussions of Russian troll farms and the like, I will use the phrase, “Russian democracy promotion efforts.”
This is NOT because I approve of these efforts, but rather to show my opprobrium US “Democracy promotion” activities.
I approve of neither the Russians encouraging the “alt-right”, nor of US support for neo-Nazi skinheads in the Ukraine or of Jihadis in Syria.

Heading to my dad’s funeral, without my laptop, so my posting will be spotty, at best.
At least Alaska Airlines have direct flights between BWI and PDX.
In addition to my job, I administer a BBS, and I’ve been working through an upgrade over the past few weeks.
I am now at the point where the errors are just minor translation errors, so posting should pick up.
This has not been caused by any dearth of idiocy in the world.
