It appears that over the past few days, Donald Trump called the Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, and threatened him in an attempt to get him to manufacture 11,780 votes so that he could claim to have won the state<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s a bit late to impeach the bastard, but if this is not criminal, it should be:<\/p>\n

The Washington Post obtained a recording<\/a> of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking \u201ca big risk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his office\u2019s general counsel rejected Trump\u2019s assertions, explaining that the president is relying on debunked conspiracy theories and that President-elect Joe Biden\u2019s 11,779-vote victory in Georgia was fair and accurate.<\/p>\n

Trump dismissed their arguments.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people of Georgia are angry, the people of the country are angry,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd there\u2019s nothing wrong with saying, you know, that you\u2019ve recalculated.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This guy can’t be allowed to just walk away from this.<\/p>\n

We’ve already over one hundred Congressmen and a dozen Senators signing onto this.<\/p>\n
