{"id":175969,"date":"2020-10-09T22:29:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-10T03:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2020\/10\/09\/these-are-not-the-actions-of-an-innocent-man\/"},"modified":"2020-10-09T22:29:00","modified_gmt":"2020-10-10T03:29:00","slug":"these-are-not-the-actions-of-an-innocent-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.panix.com\/~msaroff\/40years\/2020\/10\/09\/these-are-not-the-actions-of-an-innocent-man\/","title":{"rendered":"These Are Not the Actions of an Innocent Man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following a grand juror complaint about his handling of the Breonna Taylor case, Kentuck AG Daniel Cameron was forced to release highly redacted tape and transcript of grand jury testimony, has now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peoplesworld.org\/article\/kentucky-a-g-cameron-seeks-to-silence-jurors-in-breonna-taylor-case\/\">moved to silence those grand jurors to prevent any further embarrassment to him<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He knows that further grand juror revelations will show that he deliberately the case before the grand jury, and refused to inform the jury of its rights to information.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know if this is illegal, but it&#8217;s certainly sketchy legal ethics, and it&#8217;s political poison, so now he is covering it up.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a surprise.&nbsp; After all this is a man who has about as much experience as a real lawyer as Raymond Burr, and his qualification for office is that he is a protege of Mitch McConnell:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #2b00fe;\">Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron claimed weeks ago, when announcing the grand jury\u2019s decision in Breonna Taylor\u2019s shooting death, that justice only answered \u201cto the facts and to the law.\u201d Cameron\u2019s recent motion to keep jurors who ruled on the case from speaking publicly about the proceedings, however, has many wondering whether the \u201cfacts\u201d he presented had the intention of seeking justice for Taylor or instead pre-determined innocence for the officers involved. <\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 2, Cameron\u2019s office released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/live-updates-protests-for-racial-justice\/2020\/10\/02\/919245689\/court-releases-grand-jury-recording-in-breonna-taylor-case\">15 hours of audio<\/a> from the grand jury proceedings on Taylor\u2019s death. Since then, Taylor\u2019s family has called on Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear to appoint a new special prosecutor to reopen the case. He claimed in a statement that the proceedings are kept confidential to protect the safety of all involved.
